Our History

Posey’s Hearing Aid Center was established in 1957 by Marvin and Diane Posey. Their daughter Kathy has since adopted the family business and ventured to the San Francisco East Bay in 1992 to continue the tradition of success. Kathy is a Clinical Audiologist and has been working to improve the lives of the hearing impaired for the majority of her life.

As hearing instrument technology has continued to change over the past 50 years, so has Posey’s. Posey's has remained on the cutting edge of the art and science of hearing aid technology and testing and fitting practices.

Continued success and scores of happy patients have allowed Kathy to grow. Her office offers the most advanced clinical equipment, a friendly atmosphere, and hearing specialists who possess the highest degree of hearing healthcare expertise.

Kathy, the owner and founder of the Bay Area locations of Posey's Hearing Aid Center, began her career early on while working alongside her father Marvin in the original Posey's Hearing Aid Center. Realizing then that hearing healthcare was her calling, Kathy has since gone on to earn her master's degree in clinical audiology and obtain the title of Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist. Kathy has dedicated her career to bringing both the highest level of clinical services and the very best in hearing aid technology to the patients of Posey's Hearing Aid Center.
